Overview
EveryGrove runs a tree-care business end to end — an AI receptionist, photo proposals, crew dispatch, bilingual work orders, invoicing. The product worked. It just didn't look like it: it shipped on a stock component theme, default blue, with no design system underneath. Capable software wearing a template.
The brief was a visual refresh for their V3 release, on a fixed deadline, working inside an existing React codebase I couldn't restructure. The real opportunity was underneath the surface. Because every component already pointed at design tokens rather than hard-coded colour, the whole product could be re-skinned from one place — if that place was designed properly.

Overview
So the work was a system, not a coat of paint. A charcoal-and-green identity where green is a scarce, deliberate moment — the action that matters, the active state, the money — never a wash. A drop-in theme whose tokens matched the code exactly, so a single change re-skins the app in light and dark. And a set of patterns designed once and reused across the pages that shared them, rather than screen by screen.
The result reads as a product with a point of view, and holds together because a system holds it — not because someone hand-styled each screen. I designed the system and screens in Figma, and leaned on AI tooling to move faster on the parts that benefit from it — generating theme code, spinning up mockups to test a direction quickly, working through the handoff. The judgment stayed mine: which green, how much restraint, what to leave out, where to draw the line on scope.

Design that keeps up with what you're building.
